New York, I really do love you.

Hey GUYS!!!! I hope everyone’s doing well and partyin’ it up! hahahha but also getting good grades. So, I’m really loving college now. There is just so much to do and so many people to meet. The amount of work sucks, but that’s college. I’m going back to NYC for Halloween weekend! I know, Halloween is where all the parties are at, but I need a break lol. Planning on eating some really delicious home-cooked food, and just enjoying the city. :) I can’t wait!!! Oh yeah, so BC was picked to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall and they made a scale replica of the wall and put it in the dustbowl. So all the students just wrote messages or drew pictures on the wall, it was so cool. Really nice to look at every morning before going to class.
Oh and it was crazy, I think it was last week, but it started snowing SO MUCH. It was pretty ridiculous, big ass snowflakes for like the whole day. I don’t understand Boston weather; it’s either snowing a lot, raining a ton, or really sunny. Went to Dim Sum on saturday in Boston Chinatown. Let me tell you, Chubby Bunny: Shumai version is NOT pretty ew.
College is pretty cool now besides lack of sleep. I feel like 2 AM is my normal sleep time now :(
I MISS EVERYONE! And you guys better be keeping up with this blog. OR ELSE…PINCH.

Upperclassmen partying it up in a trolley. Flashing lights, loud music. Oh yes.

Painted pumpkins for Halloween. Sadly, I do not have this much artistic skill. A girl on my floor did this, it's so awesome.

Quidditch! LOL. The snitch is the guy in yellow. I felt so bad for him, he had to run so much.

who’d you meet? MY NEIGHBOR?! – Jenny & Judy

So it’s 2 am right now, so Jenny and I are writing a collab post on our experience at Babson.

I took a bus from Philly to New York then a bus from New York to Boston. When I got on the Boston bus, I saw an empty seat next to this old lady and then I sat next to her because I was like whatever, she seems nice, it’s better than letting a total douchebag end up sitting next to you. Anyway, she talked to me first in PERFECT english and she was chinese. I was completely amazed so we kept talking and I learned a lot about her. Btw, along the way, within 30 minutes of getting out of the city, our fucking bus broke down so we had to wait 40 minutes for the next bus to pick us up. Throughout the duration, I learned she speaks Shanghainese, Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and lives across from NYU Downtown hospital. So when I FINALLY got to Boston, I saw Jenny and gave her a bear hug attack. Then as I was telling her how lucky I was to end up next to such a nice lady, she was telling me how she saw her neighbor before or at least she thought she did. As we continued talking, she goes wait, does she have grey hair, brown glasses, and speaks english really well? so I was like, yeah… and then she goes HOLY SHIT! and i said to her… do you live across from nyu downtown hospital? and we determined, that in fact, i spent 6 hours on the bus with jenny’s neighbor who’s a very nice lady and speaks english very well. AND she also knows what swarthmore is.

OKAY, so Jenny (aka SoHee) here…It’s been an amazing week so far. When I met up with Judy at the bus terminal, we literally squealed really loudly when we saw each other. Apparently we were so loud that a lot of people just stared at us. (Judy here, sorry to interrupt but she got MAD SHORT) OH F YOU JUDY DIEP. Yeah so we met up with Lisa and Penny and Wingkai at South Station and stupid Lisa was so excited that she ran up with stairs instead of the escalator. We went to this pretty expensive Korean Restaurant in Chinatown and met up with Ruwan, went to a chinese supermarket, and saw TWO big flying cockroach. We’re mad cool cause we stayed up playing scattergories yesterday night (money = bitches and bums), and taboo tonight. We also played pool, pacman, street fighter etc. we went to boston to shop and also had some ice cream yum.

    Review of Babson’s dorms.

    1) SHOWERS SUCK. water is so weak there with mysterious puddles on the ground.

    2) Penny’s room is mad small.

    3) Lisa’s room is packed with food and other stuff…

    4) Wingkai’s room is not as big as it seems in the vidchats & is very messy & DARK.

    5) stars are really pretty and there’s lots of trees with their leaves changing colors.

We also continuously made fun of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcvP3akMLh4

If you guys haven’t seen this, you’re missing out.

funny moment recap: so we were in penny’s room with taylor, her roommate (who’s really cool btw SHOUT OUT TO TAYLOR), talking about penny. we were just imitating her about shooting people with ak-47s while she was outside with lisa, and their friend david. so all of a sudden, penny hears us and STORMS IN  screaming I KNOW YOU’RE TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME GUYS. WTF GUYS TELL ME NOW. TAYLOR RHOADES TELL ME RIGHT NOW OR I’M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU. so yeah, she was so loud, we think her whole hall heard her. typical penny.

p.s. penny is so od about her bed that everyone was shocked she even let us sleep on it. THAT’S RIGHT SHE LOVES US THAT MUCH.

anyway, we hope that you guys are all having fun in college. it was a fun weekend with all of our techies and meeting their new babson friends (with cars). we can’t wait to see you guys thanksgiving/christmas break.

So this is the life of a college student…

Hey guys, sorry I didn’t update as quickly as I wanted to…but you know the life of a Korean superstar. A whirlwind of tours, signings, etc. LOL No, more like college got in the way. So, as we all know, there is so much more work in college than in high school. It’s a pretty crazy workload. For English, I had to finish All Quiet On the Western Front over the course of two classes. FML. But I won’t bore you with this nonsense. Even though it’s only been like three weeks, it feels like I’ve been here for months! I guess the transition from the city to a suburban area is a bit drastic for me. I’m getting used to it though :) Sometimes on a really nice day, I’ll go sit outside, under the sun, and read my book or do some homework. Mostly, I’ve been going to the Plex, which is our gym. I usually go running on the treadmill and it’s pretty damn awesome because it is truly a great stress reliever. Plus, there are many hot guys to ogle lmao.

Anyways, welcome week was good but not as exciting as I thought :( Other than that, I’ve met a ton of new people and it’s been pretty cool so far. Although, some of the girls on my floor are pretty crazy party girls and they’re really loud -_- but what else are headphones for than to drown out their voices lol. There have been some pretty funny drunken incidents. Once this guy walked around my floor at 2 IN THE MORNING screaming that he needed his hat. It went along the lines of this: ”Where’s my hat?!?!?! I NEED MY HAT! I can’t LIVE WITHOUT my hat!!!!” So yeah, here I was lying in bed at 2 AM listening to this guy. Fun stuff. And OMFG another story was that this girl got so drunk that she pretty much shit herself. I know..how disgusting.

We had convocation last week, but it was pretty boring. My friends and I went for the barbeque and skipped the speeches because the line to get into Conte Forum was pretty long. Everyone was pretty much decked out to the nines; it’s crazy how well people on this campus dress. Even for classes, although there are people in the usual college “uniform” of sweats and hoodies, some of the girls are pretty much all decked out. In the mornings, when I want to know how cold it is, I look out of my window to get a glimpse of what kind of clothing people are wearing. Just FYI, don’t trust them, because even when it’s 50-60 degrees outside, there are girls who wear skirts and short-shorts. It’s just a tad bit ridiculous.

Over the weekend my roommate and some friends wanted to explore the other BC campus. We have two, Upper and Newton. To get to Newton, we have to take a bus which most of the time is unreliable. Anyways, we arrive on Newton and since we wanted to explore, just walked around randomly. All of a sudden, we’re lost in the middle of the fucking woods!! All we see around us are trees, and there is not a soul in sight; plus, it’s eerily quiet. So basically for 10 minutes we’re walking in the woods trying to find our way back onto campus. It didn’t help that on the the guys started to talk about scary movies where someone jumps out with an electric saw to kill everyone. A minute after that, we actually heard a noise very similar to an electric saw….

That’s pretty much my three weeks here at BC. My parents are coming over on Saturday, and I’m super happy because they’re bringing fried rice and a TV!!! Oh, how I have missed my TV shows. Hope everyone is doing fine at their respective colleges. I’m probably thinking of coming home Columbus weekend, since it would be nice if everyone got together. I miss you all so much!!!!

I realized that I had yet to show you guys pictures of my dorm, so here they are:

My bed, pictures, and pig. It's amazing, I actually make my bed every morning now.

i miss you too yuan! glad you’re working out to burn off your nonexistent fat but as long as you’re not stressed and get to check out cute guys, it’s all good. and it’s okay, it’s always so easy to get lost in the woods here.

oh btw, you have WAY too many carebear pictures on that wall. JUST SAYING (:

LOL! A guy screaming for his hat at 2 in the morning?! That’s gotta be interesting!! Ahhh your room is so pink! But hey it’s the life of a Korean SUPA-STAAAAA

      Your work load sounds crazyyyy.

LOLOL how does your roommate like waking up to an explosion of neon pink? hahah that is hands down the pinkest pink I have ever seen in my life. Very korean superstar-esque. lolol

HAHA I told you already but it’s the same at NYU, it’s like a fashion show everyday. They wear skirts in 50 degree weather and sweaters in 80 degree weather. I don’t understand…………..

omfg I hate when people tell scary stories in the most inappropriate times. seriously.

sounds like you’re having a fun/interesting time at BC, I CAN’T believe you didn’t post pictures of your amazing campus.

A bittersweet ending and a new beginning – Jenny Y.

    IMG_3762

It’s your one and only Korean Superstar….SoHee!! So, I just moved into BC yesterday and it was pretty quick and painless. When you first get on the campus, you pretty much see hot guys everywhere, NO JOKE. White boys, Asians boys…WHEW! Some look like those jocks and a bit douchebaggy, but you can’t judge a book by its cover, right?

Let me tell you, if you thought packing was painful, unpacking is pretty bad as well. After it was all said and done, I gave my parents a tour of the beautiful campus (better than Swarthmore’s, obviously. We can run through the grass here too! LOL Love you JDiep!) We had some lunch over at the McElroy dining hall, it’s the biggest one but so expensive!! My parents and I bought pizza that was like $2.50 a slice! It is now that I truly appreciate New York food and that amazing $1 pizza, which I’m so fondly remembering right now :) .

My parents left soon after and surprisingly, my mother did not cry. While I was saying goodbye to them, I was close to tearing…almost too close. The first few days are a bit awkward to say the least. Especially if you’re going to a school where you don’t know anyone. Some of that homesickness creeps in; moving into college seemed so surreal, and when it actually happens, it’s pretty overwhelming. This is the time when I missed everyone so much; our huge Asian Invasion group. I know that it will get so much better, particularly with Welcome Week, and the start of classes and clubs.

It actually got better later when I met up with a bunch of people around campus and it was pretty funny. We pretty much invaded other people’s dorms, like the Shaw House (amazing rooms!); a clear violation of privacy but fun nonetheless. There was an event called “Plex Playland” where they had mini-golf, rock climbing, all you can eat ice cream/popcorn/pretzels, mechanical bull riding, and the moon bounce course. I went on the moon bounce and it was really fun, even though I lost :( Anyways, it was pretty great meeting people even though it was intimidating at first. So, that was pretty much my first day at BC.

Welcome Week starts today and it’s going to be so much fun. There’s going to a First Night Block Party, and I can’t wait! Fire throwers, hypnotists, oh my! Then, there’s a shopping trip to TARGET! (I know I’ve said it so many times already, but hellooooo it’s pure awesomeness.) On the other days, we’ll have a boat cruise, our first FOOTBALL GAME of the year, BC vs. Northeastern. Psh, I think we know who’ll win; GO EAGLES!!  There is other fun stuff, but I’ll share later.

P.S. THERE ARE SO MANY STAIRS ON THIS CAMPUS! When I have to get to my dorm, it’s like Tech x 5. No Freshman 15 here at least! Haha.

BC vs. Northeastern Football Game. 54 - 0!!! YEAHHHH!!

Excuse you. Swarthmore has WAY better dorms and campus (I’ll show you the pictures). And there’s so much grass here you can’t simply just run through all of the grass okay.

I’m glad you’re happy meeting all those HOTTTTT BC people. And wtf, all of your events are so much cooler than my events. All of my events are mad lame, they’re for like smart people.
